Reformed Franciscans in Węgrów. Architecture of the church and the role of the Węgrów foundation in the context of other architectural projects of the Krasiński Family. The Church of Reformed Franciscans in Węgrów was founded by Jan Dobrogost Krasiński, voivode of Płock. It was designed by the Dutch architect Tielman van Gameren while Carlo Ceroni was in charge of the construction works. Both the founder and the architect had to comply with the building regulations imposed by the Reformed Franciscans, which was overseen by a Franciscan brother who held the position of construction manager (praefectus fabricae). As all the brick churches of Reformed Franciscans built in the 17th and 18th c., the church in Węgrów was of the wall-pillar type. It is one of the four Reformed Franciscan churches in the Wielkopolska province representing the chapel variation of the system, like the one built earlier in Warsaw....

Opinogóra została po raz pierwszy wspomniana w dokumencie wojewody mazowieckiego Żyro z 1185 r. W dokumencie tym pojawia się pod nazwą Opinegote. Dobiechna Opinogórę ofiarowała Kościołowi Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Płocku. Jeszcze w średniowieczu książęta mazowieccy wybudowali tam dwór myśliwski, w którym zmarł książę Bolesław w 1454 r. Po aneksji Mazowsza do Korony Opinogóra stała się częścią majątków królewskich i była przekazywana jako starostwo niegrodowe Krasińskich. Pierwszym Krasińskim, któremu król dał Opinogórę w 1659 r., był Jan Kazimierz (1607-1669) – dworzanin króla, skarbnik Korony, wojewoda płocki, kasztelan warszawski, płocki i ciechanowski.... Opiniogóra was mentioned for the first time in a document in 1185, Mazovian Voivode, Count Żyro,
in the document, it appears under the name “Opinegote”. Dobiechna offered Opinogóra to Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Plock. In 13thy centaury Opinogóra was owned monastery of Maidens Premonstratensian in Plock. The princes of Mazovia built a hunting manor there, where later Duke Boleslaw of Mazovia died in 1454. After the annexation of Mazovia to the Crown Opinogóra it became a part of the royal estates,and as a non-city starosty was given as a reward to the people, who have contributed to the throne. The first Krasiński, whom the king gave Opinogóra in 1659, was Jan Kazimierz (1607-1669) - courtier of the king, treasurer of the Crown, Voivode of Plock, Castellan of Warsaw, Plock and Ciechanów....
