Reformed Franciscans in Węgrów. Architecture of the church and the role of the Węgrów foundation in the context of other architectural projects of the Krasiński Family. The Church of Reformed Franciscans in Węgrów was founded by Jan Dobrogost Krasiński, voivode of Płock. It was designed by the Dutch architect Tielman van Gameren while Carlo Ceroni was in charge of the construction works. Both the founder and the architect had to comply with the building regulations imposed by the Reformed Franciscans, which was overseen by a Franciscan brother who held the position of construction manager (praefectus fabricae). As all the brick churches of Reformed Franciscans built in the 17th and 18th c., the church in Węgrów was of the wall-pillar type. It is one of the four Reformed Franciscan churches in the Wielkopolska province representing the chapel variation of the system, like the one built earlier in Warsaw.
