Ciechanów należy do średniowiecznych miast leżących na północnym Mazowszu. W okresie
Do Korony
powrócił wraz ze śmiercią ostatniego z Piastów mazowieckich.
Księgi miejskie i wszystkie ważniejsze dokumenty dotyczące Ciechanowa spłonęły w pożarze
w 1476 r.(?), zaś dzieła zniszczenia dopełnił najpierw„potop szwedzki”, potem II wojna
światowa. Do dnia dzisiejszego przetrwała wyłącznie część, i to niewielka, dokumentów
miejskich. Spośród nich ciechanowskie księgi ziemskie i grodzkie znajdują się obecnie w
Archiwum Głównym Akt Dawnych, zaś Terrestria et castrensia Ciechanoviensia oraz część
akt miejskich dotycząca Ciechanowa przechowywane są w Archiwum Państwowym w
Mławie.
Za swój herb Ciechanów obrał postać świętego Piotra, jednakże ustalenie dokładnych dziejów
miasta oraz genezy herbu nastręcza pewne trudności. Brak zarówno dokumentów, jak i pieczęci
Ciechanowa z okresu wczesnego średniowiecza.... Ciechanów belongs to medieval towns of northern Mazowsze. In the period of Mazowsze division into Płock and Czersk County, Ciechanów was part of The Czersk County. From the 15thcentury one can say, that Ciechanów became the Capitol of the Mazowsze Landand was possesed by Prince of Czersk, besides short period of the time when it belonged to Janusz II Płocki. It returned to the Crown together with death of the last member of the Piast dynasty. Town’sbooks and all of the most important documents were destroyed in a fire in 1476(?);”Swedish Deluge” and the Second World War completed the work of destruction. To date only small part of documents related to Ciechanów survived. Some of them are in the Central Archives of Historical Records – these are books earthly and municipal Ciechanów; terrestri et castrensia Ciechanoviensia and part of the urban part of the file on Ciechanow State Archives in Mlawa. The city took on his coat thefigure of St. Peter. However settling the exact history of the city and coat genesis of Ciechanów makes alittle difficulties. There lack of both documents and seal Ciechanow from the early Middle Ages as well....

Since ages the legend about the Graal had been inspiration for poets and artists of all kinds.
można spotkać np. u Arthura Charlesa Fox-Davies’a.
założyciel “The Coat of Arms” oraz The Heraldry Society.
Polish heraldry is little known in Europe, for that reason many European heraldries think that apart of England a dragon doesn’t exist in masters heraldry, see for example opinion of Arthur Charles Fox-Davies. He was one of the most famous English heraldries (died in 1928). His researches serve as a basis for John Philip Brooke-Little, the founder “The Coat of Arms” and “The Heraldry Society”. J.P Brook Little duplicated in his works theory of Arthur Charles Fox-Davies that the dragon appears only in the Great Britain heraldry. Meantime, apart of the Great Britain Dragon is the crest of the polish princes- Piastów czerskich. In XIV century appears also in crest of voivode’s of Transylvania....

opisu tych istot.
W części pierwszej i drugiej artykułu przedstawiono nazewnictwo i zarys kosmologii nordyckiej.
The purpose of the article “Elf’s – fantastic creatures in the Nordic mythology” is an attempt to
answer a question: who were creatures called Alfar in the old-Nordic language? Despite the term Elf
(Alfar) appears quite often in the Nordic mythology the answer is so difficult, as there is no any
description of those creatures.
The first and the second part of the article presents the terminology and overview of Nordic
cosmology . The third part describes role of Elfs in the Nordic mythology taking into consideration
ambiguity of “Alfar’s” idea. The fourth part of the article is a an attempt to answer a question if a
Nordic term “Alfar” is equal to Anglo-Saxon “Aelf” and what is the common characteristic of
creatures described by this term....
